North Little Rock police arrest man accused of killing woman, injuring three others during domestic incident Friday

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Police in North Little Rock have arrested and identified the man accused of a deadly shooting that killed one woman and left three others injured.

Police said 46-year-old James Booker of North Little Rock was arrested for killing 33-year-old Santana Lash ReynaMartinez Friday evening in the 100 block of Curtis Sykes Drive.

Just before 6 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a shooting call. Upon arrival they located ReynaMartinez, who was pronounced dead on the scene, and the three other victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said as of Saturday afternoon one of the surviving victims has been released from the hospital, while the other two remain in the hospital in stable condition.

Detectives said they were able to begin their homicide investigation and witnesses were able to give a suspect description as well as which direction the shooter left the scene.

Authorities said a NLRPD Officer and his K-9 partner were able to track Booker to an abandoned house in the 1300 block of Magnolia Street. He was taken into custody to the North Little Rock Justice Center and interviewed by detectives.

Police said Booker admitted to the shooting of ReynaMartinez and the three other victims during an argument. Booker and the victims all knew each other and he was identified as the lone shooter in this incident, according to detectives.

Booker is being held at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility without bond until his initial North Little Rock District Court appearance. According to police, he was charged with one count of capital murder, three counts of attempted capital murder, one count of a felon in possession of a firearm and four counts of terroristic act.
