Sue Cowan Williams Library reopening after undergoing renovations

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Sue CowanWilliams Library is reopening this month after undergoing renovations last year.

Tameka Lee, communications director of the Central Arkansas Library System, joined Arkansas Today with updates on the library, which temporarily closed in November 2023.

The library, located in Little Rock’s historic Dunbar Neighborhood, will have several additions, including a podcasting room, kitchen and a center dedicated to teens.

To celebrate the reopening, CALS will hold three events: a family dinner night Thursday, April 18, a ribbon cutting Friday, April 19 and a neighborhood block party Saturday, May 4.
