Little Rock running club to host free run in honor of former KARK anchor Alice Stewart

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A central Arkansas running club is hosting a free run next week on Global Running Day to remember former KARK 4 News anchor Alice Stewart.

Stewart, who passed away in Virginia on May 18, was an avid runner in the Little Rock running community before leaving the state, placing 3rd in the Little Rock Marathon in its first year.

The Little Rock Roadrunners and Rock City Running will honor her at the event by collecting donations to a cause that was close to Alice’s heart, Girls on the Run central Arkansas.

The fun run will be on global running day, Wednesday June 5at 6 a.m. at Leiva’s coffee on Chenonceau in Little Rock.

Donations in Alice’s memory can be made at the run or to the Alice Stewart memorial fund at GotrCentralArk.org.
