TORNADO WATCH issued for parts of Arkansas until 10 pm
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – After overnight storms left damage around central Arkansas, Natural State residents are facing another night of severe weather.
The National Weather Service has issued TORNADO WATCH to remain in effect until 10 p.m. for 11 counties in Arkansas, including Pope, Yell, Boone, Marion, Newton, Searcy, Johnson, Logan, Montgomery, Polk and Scott.
The tornado watch includes the communities of Booneville, Bull Shoals, Clarksville, Danville, Dardanelle, Flippin, Harrison, Jasper, Leslie, Marshall, Mena, Mount Ida, Norman, Ola, Paris, Russellville, Summit, Waldron, Western Grove and Yellville.
The NWS reported earlier Wednesday that the storms that slammed into parts of Garland County overnight included an EF-2 tornado that left damage throughout Hot Springs.
