Alma police to announce new updates on Morgan Nick case
ALMA, Ark. – Officials with the Alma Police Department on Monday said they are ready to make an announcement on “significant developments” in the kidnapping of Morgan Nick.
APD Chief Jeff Pointer said his department would hold a media briefing Tuesday to share the update to the 1995 case.
Though no information on the announcement has been given, Pointer said that the briefing will happen at the Alma Police Department Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m.
The then 6-year-old Nick was at a Little League baseball game at the Alma Baseball Complex with her mother on the evening of June 9, 1995, and went to catch fireflies with two friends in a parking lot next to the ballpark.
The two friends Nick was seen with later returned, but she was not with them.
The friends later told police they saw a man who was next to a red camper truck talking to Morgan. She was last seen wearing a green Girl Scout shirt, blue denim shorts and white tennis shoes.
Morgan Nick was the subject of a 2023 documentary produced by Hulu called "Still Missing Morgan" which was produced by acclaimed producer Ridley Scott.
