WATCH LIVE: Arkansas Senate holds hearing on Malinowski raid
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Members of the Arkansas Senate Judiciary Committee are holding a hearing Monday to review the raid by federal officials on the home of the former head of the Little Rock airport that ended with the man being shot and killed.
Bryan Malinowski was killed after a shootout with ATF agents who were serving a 6 a.m. search warrant at his Little Rock home. Malinowski, executive director of the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport, died of his injuries on March 21.
The raid was based on accusations that Malinowski was selling guns without a license, a point the family attorney disputes.
Malinowski's family and lawyer have long questioned the tactics used in the raid, with other state and federal lawmakers echoing those concerns.
The Monday hearing is expected to include testimony from Arkansas State Police head Col. Mike Hagar, Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr., Little Rock Police Department Chief Heath Helton and Pulaski County Sheriff Eric Higgins.
A livestream of the hearing will be available in the video player above.
