Grass fire slowing traffic on eastbound Interstate 40 near Maumelle

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. – Arkansas Department of Transportation officials said a grass fire is causing traffic to come to a crawl on Interstate 40 near Maumelle.
A crash report from ARDOT states that the fire is near mile marker 143.2 just after the Morgan-Maumelle exit on eastbound I-40.
According to the crash report, the right lane and the right shoulder are impacted by the incident.
Officials said no injuries have been reported.
ARDOT’s iDrive camera shows traffic crawling past the fire as crews work to combat the blaze.
