Maumelle to hold inaugural Food Truck Festival at Lake Willastein

MAUMELLE, Ark. – Officials with the Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Maumelle partnered Monday to announce the first-ever Maumelle Food Truck Festival happening this weekend.

The festival will happen 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday Nov. 2 at Lake Willastein. There will be more than 40 food trucks from across the region and an array of cuisine options.

There will also be live music, a pet show and adoptable pets available.

“We will have live music from DJ Multi-Talented, a ‘Kiddie Korner’ for the young ones and adoptable pets from Maumelle Animal Services,” Kellie Wall, CEO of the Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce said. “There’s a lot of excitement around the pet show hosted by the Rotary Club of Maumelle.”

Courtney Dunn, Economic Development director for the City of Maumelle said that residents have been eager for more large-scale events since the successful “Blackout on the Boulevard” eclipse festival in April.

“The Maumelle chamber and the city have answered the call and collaborated closely to organize what we hope will become a signature, annual community event,” Dunn said.
