Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office seeing assistance in death investigation

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ark. – Officials with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are requesting the public’s help in an investigation involving human remains found Saturday morning.

Deputies said the investigation began when the discovery of human remains was reported in the 1900 block of Highway 425.

Through numerous items collected in the area, investigators said they believe they have identified the remains as that of Randy Devon Grubbs. His remains are being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for further investigation.

Officials said that Grubbs’ last known location was in Pine Bluff in July and numerous attempts to locate a family member have been unsuccessful.
