Arkansas State Police investigating deadly apartment shooting in Woodruff County

AUGUSTA, Ark. – Special agents with the Arkansas State Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed outside of an apartment in Woodruff County.
ASP officials said 57-year-old Kenneth Ray Hawkins was shot in the 200 block of Hough Street in Augusta on Saturday, Dec. 21.
Investigators said he was found at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. Special agents said he died while being taken to a local hospital.
Investigators have not released information on a suspect in the shooting.
Hawkins’ body will be taken to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the manner and cause of death.
