Little Rock police investigating Wednesday evening shooting death involving officers
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the Little Rock Police Department are investigating after a Wednesday evening homicide investigation led to a shooting death involving officers.
According to a post on social media, LRPD officials said officers were called to an incident in the 2100 block of South State Street at 8:24 p.m. When police arrived, they said they discovered a dead woman.
Police also said that another set of officers subsequently discovered an individual covered in blood in the 1600 block of Broadway. In the report, officers said that they attempted to speak with the person but they would not listen to their commands while advancing toward them with a weapon in hand.
According to the report, shots were fired and the person died at the scene.
Police have not revealed any information regarding the identity of the woman or the individual shot by officers.
