LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Data from the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that the Arkansas unemployment rate has remained stable in February.
According to the agency, the state’s unemployment rate remained at 3.6% from January to February.
State officials said the civilian labor force and employment rose, but the changes were not enough to impact the unemployment rate or the labor force participation rate.
The report said that nonfarm payroll jobs increased by 3,600. Officials said the largest increase was in government as public colleges and universities returned to normal hours staffing levels after the holiday break.
The unemployment rate increased from 4% to 4.1% in the United States.
