Downtown Little Rock Partnership launches 2025 Cinema Series with ‘Nacho Libre’ screening, wrestling showcase
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Downtown Little Rock Partnership announced this week that its 2025 Cinema Series will kick off next month with a local wrestling showcase and movie screening.
In a post on social media, the group said that the event will transform the warehouse space at Goodweather Art Gallery, located at 420 Byrd Street, into movie night on May 5 with a screening of “Nacho Libre.”
There will also be a demonstration in partnership with local group TAC Wrestling. TACW co-founder William Stephan said that the event is not something you can easily find anywhere else.
“So, this is a platform that we the central Arkansas indies haven't had at least in the last 10 years. DLRP has some great outreach and big/small community events that touch people in pockets we don't really get to,” Stephan said. “For our locals it's a chance to be seen and heard with a whole new batch of folks that may be avid wrestling fans that don't know us, or it could be someone's first time ever taking in live pro wrestling. Lotta magic in the air for that. Overall, it's a free community event with a movie and a live show, not something you can easily find anywhere else if at all.”
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the free event, with a wrestling showcase beginning at 6 p.m. and the movie will be shown at 7:30 p.m. For more information, visit DowntownLR.com.
