Drew County man claims $350,000 in Arkansas Scholarship Lottery win
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas lottery officials said a man in Drew County bought a lottery ticket based on his favorite color and wound up with 350,000 reasons to really like that color.
Officials said T. Austin from Drew County claimed $350,000 playing the $350,000 Cash Payout, a $20 instant game. Austin claimed the prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on Friday, June 13.
Austin told officials he stopped for gas when he decided to purchase what was to be the winning ticket. He said he did not have a favorite game or retailer, but he did have a favorite color: blue, which is the color of the $350,000 cash payout ticket.
Austin scratched the ticket off while he was still in the store to find out his $350,000 Cash Payout ticket was for a $350,000 prize.
Lottery officials said Austin’s win was the second-to-last big win in the game, with one more $350,000 Cash Payout grand prize in the game.
Austin said he planned to buy some land and animals with his winnings.
