Bountiful harvest found at Two Rivers Park Farmers Market
PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. – Even though Arkansas is well into summer, it isn’t too late to plant a garden, and it's prime time to enjoy produce.
This was the second week for the popular Farmer’s Market at Two Rivers Park.
Many plants may slow production as temperatures get into the mid-90s. That also means it is a good time to start planning for the fall.
"Over the next couple of weeks, we'll start planting our fall crops, our broccoli, our cauliflower, our cabbage.” Little Rock gardener Chuck Richesin said. “And, if the weather is right, we'll get a second crop of tomatoes, if it cools down a little bit, but right now that, but then in September our muscadines come in, muscadines are our favorite."
Gardeners from Pulaski County Garden Center will be offering their produce Saturday mornings through the end of August.
