Delta Air Lines flight makes emergency landing at Little Rock airport

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A Delta Air Lines flight on the way to New Mexico on Monday was forced to land at Clinton National Airport.

According to Delta Air Lines officials, the reason for the landing was due to a windshield issue.

The Boeing 737-900 flight, which officials said carried 162 passengers, two pilots and four flight attendants, was traveling from Atlanta, Georgia, to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Delta officials said the crew followed procedures to safely divert to Clinton National Airport, adding that the flight was landed safely without incident.

A Delta spokesperson said the plane is being inspected while travelers will be continuing to Albuquerque on a new flight Monday evening.

“We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travels,” the Delta Airlines spokesperson said. “As safety comes before everything else at Delta, customers are being reaccommodated on a new aircraft and will continue to their destination this evening.”

Airline officials noted that the return flight with the same flight number, DL1004 from Albuquerque to Atlanta, will be delayed by about five hours since it will be using the same plane.
