6-year-old killed, several injured in North Little Rock crash
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A child was killed and 10 people were injured in a three-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday night in North Little Rock.
Officers with the North Little Rock Police Department responded to the collision at approximately 9:15 p.m. near the intersection of East Broadway and Redwood streets.
According to North Little Rock Fire Capt. Charlie Hobson, the accident involved a vehicle with at least six passengers and another with four. The number of people in the third vehicle was not immediately available, Hobson said all critical patients were transported to a hospital.
A social media post from Officer Tommy Norman's account indicated that a 6-year-old child was killed, an 11-year-old and a 16-year-old were critically injured, and a driver was in serious condition.
Detectives from the NLRPD are investigating the incident. Authorities have not released the names of the victims, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
