Arkansas gas prices steady among summer demand

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – AAA officials said gas prices in Arkansas have remained steady throughout the summer amid rising demand.

Officials said statewide gas prices remained under $3 throughout the summer, which hasn’t been seen since 2021. This week’s gas price average is $2.79 per gallon of, up four cents since last week.

Though crude oil and fuel demand have slightly increased, AAA officials said it hasn’t been enough to prices at the pumps.

“Gasoline demand and crude oil prices both ticked up over the past week, but not at a pace that’s pushing prices higher for drivers,” AAA spokesperson Nick Chabarria said. “Many Arkansas travelers are still enjoying some of the most stable summer fuel prices in recent years.”

Throughout the state, drivers in Bradley County are paying the state’s highest gas average of $3.17. Drivers in White County are paying the least at the pumps with an average of $2.67.

In central Arkansas, gas in Pine Bluff is averaging at $2.79 per gallon. Drivers in the Little Rock-North Little Rock area are paying $2.75 per gallon and Hot Springs drivers are paying an average of $2.70 per gallon.

The national gas price average is $3.15.
