Downtown Little Rock to celebrate River Market Entertainment District’s Sixth Year
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials announced that the River Market Entertainment District in downtown Little Rock will celebrate its sixth anniversary with a birthday bash.
The event will take place Saturday, Aug. 23, with music, local flavors, promotions from district businesses and free parking at the River Market Parking Deck at 500 E. 2nd St., officials said.
“This celebration is more than marking another year. It’s a chance to recognize how the River Market Entertainment District has become a cornerstone of downtown Little Rock,” LRCVB President & CEO Gina Gemberling said.
According to a spokesperson, the district began as a pilot project in 2019 and has grown into a hub for nightlife, dining, live music, and community events, offering open-container privileges with official district cups and wristbands.
“Happy Birthday to the River Market Entertainment District! In the heart of our thriving Downtown, the River Market is where music, food, arts, entertainment and culture come together,” Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. said.
