Arkansas College Football Scoreboard: Week 5
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – This weekend several Arkansas colleges hit the gridiron for big matchups between first time opponents, interstate rivals and a pair of in-state matchups.

Notre Dame def. Arkansas 56-13
The Fighting Irish came out swinging in Fayetteville on Saturday, jumping out to a 42-13 lead going into halftime before coming out in the second half and continuing to score on the much-maligned Hogs. Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green passed for 207 yards and ran for 81 yards, throwing an interception. Up next Arkansas takes on Tennessee on the road, hoping to get their first conference win of the season.
Arkansas State 10 - 14 Louisiana-Monroe; HALF
In the inaugural meeting of the “Rice Bowl Rivalry" the Red Wolves struck first, coming out to a 10-0 lead. ULM responded with a pair of second quarter touchdowns, giving the Warhawks a 14-10 advantage. In the first half A-State QB Jaylen Raynor threw for 135 yards, was sacked twice and gave up an interception. The half ended after ULM blocked a kick by Clune Van Andel.
Harding (3-0) vs. Ouachita Baptist (1-2); 7 p.m.
In a battle for the historic Traveling Trophy, the No. 2 ranked Harding Bisons take on the Ouachita Baptist Tigers and are looking to avenge last year’s 17-13 loss. The Tigers have a tough task as their No. 111-ranked rushing defense takes on the number one rushing attack in Division II. Last week the Bisons didn’t complete a single pass attempt but still beat Southern Arkansas 31-12 thanks to their 433 yards on the ground that included a pair of backs going for over 100.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1-2) vs. Alcorn State (0-3); 6:05 p.m.
For the second week in a row, an Arkansas college will be hitting the field at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis. This week it will be the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions taking on the Alcorn State Braves in the 36th Southern Heritage Classic. The Golden Lions lead the all-time series 22-20-3 but look to bounce back after losing to the Braves last year 38-28.
