Arkansas Storm Team Forecast: Sunday's full moon & abundant sunshine for the work week

After a strong cold front to kick off the first weekend of September, high pressure settles in for the work week. This means sunshine is here to stay this week. Sunday night, expect lows in the low to mid 50s across the state with partly cloudy skies. Skies will slowly clear around sunrise on Monday.

Also on Sunday night, September's full moon will rise at 7:25 p.m. over the metro. It's called the Corn Moon. Even with partly cloudy skies, viewing of the Corn Moon should be splendid.

On Monday, the forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and highs a bit below normal for the beginning of September in the area. Highs will reach the low 80s across much of Arkansas. A few clouds return by Monday night with lows in the mid to upper 50s.

While Tuesday will be similar, except just a tad warmer, the heat returns by midweek. On Wednesday, highs will reach the upper 80s to low 90s across Arkansas with mostly sunny skies prevailing. The low 90s are likely to stick around into the upcoming weekend.
