Former Faulkner County detention center lieutenant arrested on sexual assault charge

FAULKNER COUNTY, Ark. – Authorities in Faulkner County said they arrested a former detention center lieutenant after he was accused of being involved with an inmate.
According to the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office, Robert Doyal was arrested Friday, Aug. 29.
Deputies said they were notified Sunday, Aug. 21, of allegations about a relationship between a female inmate and Doyal, who they said resigned from his position just weeks before.
He is facing two counts of furnishing prohibited articles and one count of third-degree sexual assault.
Doyal is being held in the Cleburne County Detention Center without bond.
