North Little Rock police provide update on shooting at high school football game 

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Police have provided an update on the investigation into a shooting that happened at a high school football game on Friday night. 

North Little Rock Police Department officials said officers responded to the North Little Rock High School football stadium at 8:18 p.m. 

Police said officers already inside the stadium found a man who had been shot in the visitor’s section of the stadium. Authorities said they found a man with a gunshot wound on his left side. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and has since been released, officials said. 

Investigators said they are currently reviewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses, noting that the investigation is still in the early stages. Officials also said the origin of the gunfire is still under investigation.

NLRPD officials said there will be an increased patrol presence at the remaining football games at the stadium. 

The NLRPD asks anyone who may have recorded video in or around the stadium on Friday night to contact the North Little Rock Police Department at 501-680-8439 or detectives at 501-771-7149.
