'Workers Over Billionaires' Labor Day protest on Broadway Bridge in Little Rock targets Trump policies
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Along the Broadway Bridge in Little Rock, protestors spent Labor Day putting their voices to work.
Scott Holladay is a protestor who said the nationwide movement, called “Workers over Billionaires,” has hundreds of Arkansans rallying against the Trump administration.
"Trump's so-called Big Beautiful Bill is going to wreak a lot of damage, hurt a lot of people,” Holladay said. “A lot of working poor people and retired people.”
In response to the "Workers Over Billionaires" protest, the Republican Party of Arkansas' communications director said:
"President Trump and Republicans are delivering win after win for the American worker — no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, creating over half a million new jobs since he took office and so much more."
But the protestors march on. They said billionaires and the politicians they control are privatizing schools, slashing health care, criminalizing immigrants and gutting the programs Arkansans rely on.
"There's just a whole laundry list of problems that the administration and Congress are causing,” Holladay said.
