Arkansas College Football Scoreboard: Week 6

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Though the Razorbacks aren’t in action on Saturday, there are still plenty of Arkansas colleges in action on the gridiron this weekend.

Ouachita Baptist def. Oklahoma Baptist 35-13

The Ouachita Baptist Tigers take on Oklahoma Baptist at Cliff Harris Stadium in Arkadelphia, Ark.

During a bustling homecoming weekend in Arkadelphia, the Tigers came out on top in a battle between Ouachita Baptist and Oklahoma Baptist. OBU earned their second win of the season after racking up 219 yards on the ground with Chris Henley, Jr. and Lyric Tredwell running for 59 yards a piece and tallying three touchdowns. Next week the Tigers look to even up their record on the road against Southern Nazarene.

Harding def. East Central 65-0

The No. 2-ranked Bisons marched into a battle atop the GAC standings and a collision between the top two defenses in the conference and took control immediately. Harding took a 37-0 lead into halftime and came out in the second half and continue to pound the rock. The Bisons racked up 475 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on the ground and their defense allowed a total of three rushing yards and 78 yards of total offense in the dominating victory.

Arkansas State 10-10 Texas State; HALF

At the end of the first quarter of Saturday’s game in Jonesboro, the Red Wolves commemorated the 50th anniversary of the 1975 team’s undefeated season. After trading touchdowns in the first quarter, the Red Wolves and Bobcats traded field goals in the second quarter to enter halftime tied at 10. In the first half, Jaylen Raynor has thrown for 69 yards and also added 45 yards on the grown and a touchdown.

In a battle on the stripes in Conway, the Central Arkansas Bears and Utah Tech Trailblazers held each other scoreless in the first quarter and continued the defensive battle into the second. UCA QB Austin Myers has completed eight of 12 passes for 42 yards and Landen Chambers has added 37 rushing yards.
