New sign promises Little Rock’s first ALDI store is coming soon

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Shoppers in Conway will be able to head to the new ALDI store opening later this month, and fans of the value grocer in Little Rock will soon have a chance to get their favorite items as well.

A “Coming Soon” sign with the ALDI logo can be seen on fencing around the property at 12309 Chenal Parkway that previously housed Bed Bath and Beyond.

Last June, KARK 4 News confirmed that ALDI USA, the corporation that own the store chain, had purchased the property. An email from a public relations firm representing ALDI stated the grocer is planning to open a store in the spring.

Known for its no-frills approach, fresh produce and store brand products, ALDI has grown in popularity as it continues expanding across the United States.

The Conway store opening Jan. 25 will be the 14th location for the chain in Arkansas. There are stores in northwest Arkansas in Bentonville, Fayetteville, Fort Smith, Harrison, Rogers, Siloam Springs, Springdale and Van Buren, as well as in the northeast part of the state in Batesville, Jonesboro and Paragould.

Moving into the open retail space on Chenal Parkway would put ALDI near a number of other grocery chains, including Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Whole Foods and Target.
