Big Dam Bridge to close for five days in March for inspection
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A central Arkansas landmark will be shut down for five days in March for inspection.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced Tuesday that the Big Dam Bridge would be shut down from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 25-29 for a routine inspection.
While the inspection is underway, officials said the security gates on each side of the bridge will be closed and locked.
Corps officials said they regretted any inconvenience this may cause, adding that the closure is being coordinated with emergency services and law enforcement.
Information on corps facilities is available at its website, or its Facebook or Twitter pages.
