Arkansas Travelers fans find ways to beat the heat

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Despite the heat you won't find the Arkansas Travelers resting in the air conditioner or their fans who say how you hydrate for the game determines how well you'll enjoy it.

Micheal Bonsell said he's attending his first game and dressed for the occasion.

“I would dress light, it's pretty hot Arkansas has been really hot lately," Bonsell said.

People say there's enough shade to enjoy a Traveler's game and with endless beverages, Jessica Dunham said she and her family are able to stay cool.

"Full cups of water lots of ice all the slushies we could get our hands on ice cream," Dunham said.

She says she brings portable fans to each game with her and ensures her family is heat ready.

"Tee shirts, anything that can get wet and then dry quickly is perfect for us," Dunham said.

And since you can't hide from sun, Dunham said that it’s something people should just accept.

"That you’re going to get out here and you’re going to be hot and just roll with it because we're all going to be sweaty and gross but it's really fun to get out here and spend time with the kids," Dunham said.
