Arkansas State Police troopers arrest man in connection to road rage incidents
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas State Police arrested a Hot Springs man who they say was involved in at least two September road incidents.
According to ASP officials, 39-year-old Asa Matthew Sarver is facing two felony counts of aggravated assault and two counts of obstructing governmental operations in connection to the incidents.
Officials said state troopers responded to one of the incidents shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 on Interstate 30. Special agents said a witness told investigators that someone was driving a white Ford F-150 aggressively and pulled out a gun.
ASP officials said they responded to another road rage incident two days later around 10:15 a.m. on Interstate 430. State troopers said a witness told investigators that someone was speeding, attempting to pass her in a white Ford F-150. The witness also said that the driver pulled out a gun.
Special agents said Sarver was taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center.
Sarver pleaded not guilty to the charges on Wednesday. His next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 4.
