Central Arkansas running clubs gather for 3rd annual Last Chance Run
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Central Arkansas running clubs gathered Saturday morning for the 3rd annual Last Chance Run.
The annual event was held at War Memorial Park and gave clubs a chance to get together for a non-competitive race to raise money for the Central Arkansas Foodbank.
Around 275 runners and walkers participated in a two-and-a-half-mile loop around the park. There was even a half-mile kids race.
The participating running clubs have a friendly competition to win the Last Chance Run Cup. The club that raises the most money for the Arkansas Food Bank gets the cup.
Currently 1 in 6 Arkansans struggle to provide enough food for their family and every dollar donated will buy 5 meals.
For the three years of this event, more than $20,000 has been donated to hungry Arkansans. To donate to the Arkansans Foodbank, visit ArkansasFoodbank.org.
