Arkansas State Police investigating death of 15-year-old in Dumas

DUMAS, Ark. – Arkansas State Police are investigating the homicide of a 15-year-old at a Dumas apartment complex.

ASP officials said Dumas Police Department officers found the unnamed victim in an alleyway behind the Pendleton Apartments near Short Street at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday. The boy was lying on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds, officers said.

ASP: Arrest made in January I-40 rest area death

Investigators said the victim was pronounced dead by the Desha County Coroner at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Officials said the DPD officers contacted ASP to assist with the investigation, adding that the investigation is ongoing.
