Discount store chain closing all locations in Arkansas, other states

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A national discount retailer is closing all 92 of its locations across 10 states, including Arkansas.

Nashville-based Bargain Hunt announced Wednesday that it has initiated "going out of business" sales at all of its stores.

The chain is known for selling items of different categories, including appliances, clothing, groceries, holiday items, sports gear, tools, and more.

In-store items will be discounted up to 40% off of the lowest price, according to an email sent to customers. Returns are only being accepted through Feb. 12 for items purchased before Jan. 30.

A media release indicates that all stores will close by the end of February. Below is a list of cities and states where Bargain Hunt stores are located:

  • Alabama: Cullman, Decatur, Florence, Gadsden, Hoover, Irondale, Montgomery, Opelika, Pell City, Sylacauga
  • Arkansas: Conway, Jacksonville, Jonesboro
  • Georgia: Athens, Austell, Calhoun, Cumming, Dalton, Fayetteville, Gainesville, Griffin, Hiram, LaGrange, Marietta, Newnan, Rome, Warner Robins
  • Indiana: Evansville
  • Kentucky: Bowling Green, Campbellsville, Elizabethtown, Erlanger, Georgetown, Hopkinsville, Lexington, Louisville, Morehead, Nicholasville, Paducah, Richmond, Russell Springs, Winchester
  • Mississippi: Columbus, Southaven, Starkville, Tupelo
  • North Carolina: Charlotte, Hickory, Lenoir, Shelby
  • Ohio: Columbus, Hamilton, Heath, Miamisburg, Springfield
  • South Carolina: Anderson, Easley, Greenville, Newberry, Spartanburg
  • Tennessee: Antioch, Athens, Bartlett, Chattanooga, Clarksville, Columbia, Cookeville, Dickson, Franklin, Hendersonville, Hermitage, Hixson, Jackson, Johnson City, Knoxville, Lawrenceburg, Lebanon, Maryville, Memphis, Morristown, Mount Juliet, Murfreesboro, Nashville, Smyrna, Union City, White House, Winchester

Nexstar's WKRN reported in January the company notified the state of Tennessee about its distribution center's planned closure.

No additional details, including a reason for the closures, were released.
