BRANSON, Mo. (KNWA/KFTA) — Silver Dollar City has been nominated for four national awards by USA Today.
The theme park received nominations for “Best Theme Park,” “Best Theme Park Restaurant,” “Best Theme Park Entertainment” and “Best Roller Coaster”.
"There’s authenticity all around The City, and this nomination cements our park as a genuine destination for families across America," Brad Thomas, president of Silver Dollar City Parks & Resorts said in a news release on Monday. "From our old-fashioned classics, like fresh-baked cinnamon bread and genuine Ozark craft demonstrations, to newfangled fun like Fire In The Hole, the largest indoor coaster in the Heartland."
Rivertown Smokehouse was nominated for "Best Theme Park Restaurant". The cast of the Rivertown Ramblers received a nomination for "Best Theme Park Entertainment".
The Time Traveler, which Silver Dollar City says is the fastest, steepest and tallest spinning roller coaster in America, was nominated for "Best Roller Coaster".
Silver Dollar City has won the award for "Best Theme Park" each of the last two years.
Voting for each category runs through Monday, April 21 at 11 a.m. CDT. To vote, visit USA Today's website.
