LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – An impasse between two health care providers ended with an announcement on Tuesday morning.
CHI St. Vincent announced it had reached a multiyear agreement with insurer UnitedHealthcare effective April 9. Under the agreement, UnitedHealthcare networks will be able to maintain in-network access with St. Vincent.
United Healthcare stated in a release that the CHI St. Vincent coverage includes UnitedHealthcare employer-sponsored commercial plans, including UMR and UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans, as well as Group Retiree and Dual Special Needs Plans.
CHI St. Vincent Market President Chad Aduddell said the hospital was excited to have reached an agreement.
“We are excited to have reached an agreement with UnitedHealthcare,” he said. “We are proud to continue to provide them with in-network access to local, high-quality care.”
CHI St. Vincent is a regional health network serving Arkansas since 1888. Officials said the Little Rock-based network includes primary care, specialty clinics, urgent care, hospitals, home health, rehabilitation and surgery centers across the state.
