HBCU Athletic Conference to host baseball tournament at Dickey-Stephens Park

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Beginning on Wednesday, the HBCU Athletic Conference will be hosting its baseball championship at Dickey-Stephens Park.

The 2025 Hope Credit Union Baseball Championship will take place at the Travs stadium with games scheduled to be played from Wednesday until Sunday.

The championship is hosted by North Little Rock Tourism in collaboration with the Arkansas Travelers.

In a press conference in February, HBCUAC Commissioner Dr. Kiki Baker Barnes said that the event is a celebration of the rich history of HBCU athletics.

“We are excited to bring the HBCUAC Hope Credit Union Baseball Championship to North Little Rock,” Barnes said. “This event is more than just baseball; it’s a celebration of the rich history, talent, and community spirit of HBCU athletics. We look forward to an unforgettable championship experience in this incredible venue.”

Little Rock’s Philander Smith University is among the schools in the conference set to compete for the title. The top eight schools will play in the round robin championship tournament.

Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for general admission and $35 for a tournament pass. For more information, visit Travs.com.
