LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – At the beginning of June, Major League Baseball opened Phase 1 of voting for the 2025 MLB All-Star game, allowing fans to pick who they want to see in the Midsummer Classic.

Though players like Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge are leading the league in voting with the deadline coming this week, several former Arkansas Travelers are eligible for votes as well.

Cal Raleigh

Former Arkansas Traveler and current Seattle Mariners star Cal Raleigh is leading the voting among American League catchers. On Friday he hit his 28th and 29th home runs, breaking Johnny Bench’s record for most home runs by a catcher before the All-Star Game.

In addition to leading the majors in home runs, Raleigh also joined Ken Griffey Jr. as the Mariners with the most homers before the ASG. With his 29th Raleigh also tied Jose Ramirez, Lance Berkman and Mickey Mantle for most first half homers by a switch hitter in MLB history.

Julio Rodriguez

Another former Trav that is ripping it up at an All-Star level is Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez. Earlier this month he became only the fourth player in MLB history to hit over 90 home runs and steal more than 90 bases through his first four seasons.

Rodriguez was assigned to Arkansas from the Everett AquaSox in June of 2021 and finished out the season with the Travs. Upon making his MLB debut in 2022, he won Rookie of the Year, was named an All-Star in each of his first two seasons and also won the Silver Slugger Award in each of his first two seasons.

Mike Trout

Another player to hit over 90 homers and steal more than 90 bases in his first four seasons is Los Angeles Angels slugger Mike Trout.  Since his MLB debut, Trout has been to the ASG 11 times, won three AL MVP awards and 9 Silver Slugger Awards.

He played with the Travelers in 2011 when the team was an affiliate of the Angels and got 115 hits, 11 homers and 38 runs batted in during his time in Arkansas. In 2025 Trout has played in 49 games and has 41 hits, 12 home runs and 28 RBIs.
