Visitors pack Little Rock’s River Market for Fourth of July celebrations

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – On holidays the streets of Little Rock are filled with locals enjoying their families, but this Fourth of July brought in tourists.

Many of them from Indianapolis like Carols Lam and his family.

"We had read a little bit about it online and we wanted to make sure that we were here for the July 4th festivities," Lam said.

He says this trip is bonding time for him.

"It's a blessing that I can spend some time with my wife and sons as we celebrate," Lam said.

He and his family all matched in their red, white, and blue excited for what the night would bring.

And they weren’t the only ones, Annie and Nick Andre were also in style as they explored.

"We got our shirts last night at Walmart as we were driving through Arkansas," Andre said.

The couple says it's not often that they leave their hometown for holidays, but they are excited to cap off the night with celebrations in the capitol city.

"It's nice to have a change of pace from our usual city and spots that we watch the fireworks and we're trying to see a new city and see what you guys do for the Fourth of July," Nick said.
