Arkansas Storm Team Forecast: Chances for showers & storms slowly build to start the week
Sunday into Sunday night, a few showers and storms give way to the chance for one of those storms to be strong to severe. This threat is mainly for an isolated damaging wind gust and hail, and resides in northwestern Arkansas. In the metro from Sunday night into Monday morning, a few showers and storms are possible with lows dropping into the low 70s.

To kick off the work week, highs will remain in the 80s for the majority of the Natural State. Those who see more morning and midday showers and storms will only reach the low 80s, like those in northern and parts of western Arkansas. The capital city is expected to see highs in the upper 80s, with a mix of sun and clouds, along with a chance of scattered showers and storms.

Some storms on Monday could become strong to severe, mainly in the far western portions of Arkansas. Chances for showers and storms continue to build this week as our next cold front approaches and pushes through the region. After the cold front passes late-week, highs will drop into the low 80s into this coming weekend.
