LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Zoo staff gave a little update on one of their newest friends, baby chimp Amali.
Staff said she has started to show interest in food items but has not been seen eating whole food as she continues to breastfeed from her mother, Kianga.
Zoo officials said Amali is starting to show more of her parents’ traits in her looks. Staff said she will likely begin to crawl in the coming months.
The little one was born Tuesday, Aug. 5. A few weeks later, the zoo held a gender reveal and followed with a name announcement.
