Arkansas College Football Scoreboard: Week 3

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – In week three of the college football season, there were thirteen colleges from the Natural State in action with fans witnessing heartbreaking losses and historic wins.

Ole Miss def. Arkansas 41-35

On Saturday the Razorbacks lost their first game of the season, a 41-35 nailbiter against the Ole Miss Rebels. Hog quarterback Taylen Green completed 22 of 35 yards for 305 yards and a touchdown with 119 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground. The Hogs also got production from running back Mike Washington Jr. who ran for 69 yards and two touchdowns as well as receiver O’Mega Blake who caught six passes for 81 yards and a touchdown.

Iowa State def. Arkansas State 24-16

In their 2024 meeting, the Iowa State Cyclones beat the Red Wolves 52-7, on Saturday in Jonesboro the Red Wolves came within eight points of upsetting the no. 14 team in the country. Red Wolves QB Jaylen Raynor threw for 68 yards against the Cyclones last year, on Saturday he threw for 222 yards and an INT while running for 83 yards and a touchdown.

Ouachita Baptist def. Southeastern Oklahoma State 41-21

With their win over Southeastern Oklahoma State on Saturday, Tigers head coach Todd Knight got win number 163 for his career. Their historic win made him the all-time leader in wins for a college football coach in the state of Arkansas. Tigers quarterback Nate TenBarge secured the win with 248 passing yards for four touchdowns through the air and 52 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Tarleton State def. Central Arkansas 56-10

In their UAC opener on Saturday, the Bears lost 56-10 to a red-hot Tarleton State Texans squad that upset Army in overtime in week one. Bears QB Luther Richesson completed 12 passes for 163 yards, a TD, an INT while Malachi Henry added three catches for 59 yards. Texans QB Victor Gabalis threw for three touchdowns while Caleb Lewis ran for three touchdowns and James Paige added a fourth rushing score.
