Story Summary

Two centuries after the events of Alien 3, scientists aboard a secret cloning facility resurrect Ellen Ripley, whose DNA contains a Xenomorph queen embryo. The cloned Ripley, now physically altered and possessing alien traits, must escape the facility when the resurrected Xenomorphs break free. Teaming up with a group of space smugglers, she battles the new, more aggressive alien variants to prevent them from reaching Earth and threatening humanity.

Review

Alien Resurrection blends the franchise's signature body horror with a darker, more cynical tone. While Sigourney Weaver's performance remains a highlight, the film's pacing and over‑reliance on CGI alien designs divide fans. The addition of a gritty smuggler crew adds fresh dynamics, but the narrative often feels over‑stuffed, making it a mixed entry in the series.
