Arkansas Storm Team Forecast: Record high temps are in jeopardy today and tomorrow

Sunshine and high pressure is going to yield another extremely hot day for the state and likely some new record high temperatures including Little Rock. The record high for Little Rock is 93° for Monday and we are forecasting 94°. Tuesday may also bring some record high temperatures. Little Rock's record for Tuesday is 94°, and our forecast is 93°. The humidity is going to increase on Tuesday and that will help produce some pop-up showers and thunderstorms in South Arkansas. An upper-level disturbance passing through on Wednesday will produce scattered thunderstorm across North Arkansas. Some of those will probably drift into Central Arkansas, so we do have a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in Central Arkansas on Wednesday. Hot weather will continue, however, for Wednesday and Thursday. Then, a very strong cold front will pass through on Friday. It will be windy and cooler. Much cooler this weekend with weekend morning lows in the 40s and even some 30s.
