Our next round of thunderstorms arrive early Monday morning. Severe weather is possible for parts of Arkansas, but strong winds will be the main impact.
The National Weather Service has issued wind advisories and high wind watches across most of Arkansas. Wind gusts could be over 40 mph on Monday.

The winds will be out ahead of the line of thunderstorms.
There will also be strong winds associated with the line of thunderstorms. The Storm Prediction Center has circled an area that includes most of Arkansas where thunderstorms could become severe. The highest risk for severe weather is over southeast Arkansas.

A severe thunderstorm is a thunderstorm that produces 1"+ hail, wind gusts over 60 mph or a tornado. With Monday's storm, the main threat will be wind gusts over 60 mph. The risk is low, but there is a chance for a tornado or two over southeast Arkansas. The higher tornado risk is in Louisiana and Mississippi.

The line of thunderstorms will move into west Arkansas in the early morning, they will enter the Little Rock Metro midday, and move into western Arkansas during the late afternoon.

The thunderstorms will be completely out of the state by Monday evening!
