Arkansas State Police investigating Franklin County death

ALTUS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Arkansas State Police agents are assisting the Altus Police Department in a death investigation.

ASP officials report that Altus police were notified on Monday that Christina Steffen, 35, was discovered unresponsive in her home. When officers arrived at the residence, they said they found Steffen had died.

Authorities added that the Franklin County coroner confirmed Steffen's death at the scene.

Steffen's body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine the cause of death.

Officials said the Arkansas State Police criminal investigation division is investigating the case. There has been no information released at this time regarding any possible suspects in this incident.
