“We have gained experience in helping rebuild communities following other disasters over the years, and we work with partners that have vast experience in mass shootings,” Larkin continued. “The death of four Arkansans and the recovery needs of the survivors gives us an unfortunate reason to put some of the lessons we’ve learned to use.”

The ACF is working with the Mass Violence Survivors Fund & Victims First to operate the fund, and ACF staff said the group would be waiving its normal administrative fees, meaning 100% of donations will go to those directly affected by the shooting.

The Mad Butcher grocery store where the shooting happened has been closed since the incident.

Travis Eugene Posey was arrested as the suspected shooter and has pleaded not guilty to four counts of capital murder and ten charges of attempted capital murder.
