Little Rock School District kicks off the first day of school

LITTLE ROCK, Ark- The Little Rock School District kicked off their first day of school in a major way by debuting their brand-new school in memory of former LRSD Principal Dr. Marion G. Lacey.

The school is fully equipped with all the latest technology and programs like STREAM (science, technology, research, and engineering arts and mathematics) and Civil Air Patrol, a U.S. Air Force preparatory program, and more.

Superintendent Dr. Jermall Wright says the school was a great way to honor the legacy of Dr. Lacey and an example of the great things they have in store for the district.

Dr. Wright said this will not be the only addition to the district. School district officials said they are also planning to add another high school in the coming months.
