Arkansas Travelers clinch playoffs for 2nd consecutive season, announce ticket on sale date

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – For the second consecutive season, the Arkansas Travelers have clinched the playoffs in the Texas League after a 6-1 victory over the Corpus Christi Hooks Saturday night.

The team, a double-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, announced during their final home game of the regular season Sunday that playoff tickets will go on sale Monday Sept. 9 at 10:30 a.m.

Led by talent like 2022 1st round pick Cole Young and pitcher Logan Evans, the team is not only headed to the playoffs for the second year in a row, but for the fourth time in the past six seasons.

Pitcher Peyton Alford said that it’s an honor to be able to go to the playoffs for a second season in a row.

“To go back to the playoffs is something really, really special,” Alford stated.  “A lot of guys, they go their whole career without going to one playoff, going back-to-back is really special and I think it speaks to our group of guys and the coaches, and what we're all about in this organization.”

The Travs begin playoff action Sept. 17 against the Springfield Cardinals. Tickets will be available at MILB.com.
