Junior League of Little Rock’s Holiday House kicks off holiday season

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - With Halloween behind us now and Thanksgiving just a few weeks away, the countdown to the holiday season is on. The Junior League of Little Rock is holding its annual Holiday House fundraiser this weekend.

With several different booths at the statehouse convention center attendees can shop for Christmas items, clothing, coffee, food and more.

Karen Murtha, the owner of Ozark Concessions, said they’ve been attending the event for years.

“It's always been so exciting, the kids, the excitement, the rush of people just trying to find that perfect gift, whether to give to someone or just for themselves,” Murtha said.

Mary Deloney Logan, the President of Junior League Little Rock said the ticket proceeds will go to benefit the Junior League of Little Rock’s community projects.

“Our primary focus with our community projects is women and children in Little Rock and all of the proceeds from the Holiday House directly benefit our community projects,” Deloney Logan said.

They have projects that promote reading for kids, partnerships with Arkansas Children's hospital, Camp Aldersgate and more.

The Holiday House kicks off Thursday, Nov. 7 and will continue through Saturday, Nov. 9. It will be held at the Statehouse Convention Center.

Tickets are $15 for general admission shopping. Children 5 and under are admitted from. Each ticket is a one-day pass.

Thursday is the preview party-ticketed event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

General admission hours are Friday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
