Arkansas State Red Wolves to play Bowling Green in the 68 Ventures Bowl
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – As the NCAA unveiled their 12-team College Football Playoff field, the Arkansas State Red Wolves also learned where they’ll be playing a bowl game to finish their 7-5 season.
The Red Wolves will go to the 68 Ventures Bowl and will take on the Bowling Green Falcons on Thursday Dec. 26 at Hancock Whitney stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
Arkansas State has been to 11 bowl games in the team’s history since becoming a Division I school and have amassed a 4-7 record.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to play in the 68 Ventures Bowl, a well-respected bowl game with an outstanding reputation for providing a great experience for teams and fans alike,” A-State Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics Jeff Purinton said.
The Red Wolves also announced this week that head coach Butch Jones has signed a contract extension through the 2029 season.
“We look forward to continuing our season with a bowl game for the second consecutive year,” Jones said. “The 68 Ventures Bowl offers an excellent experience for our players and provides a great bowl destination for our team and fans. We’re excited about the opportunity to play for an eighth win and to finish the season strong against a very good opponent."
