Pine Bluff man wins $50,000 on instant game
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A $20 lottery ticket turned into a $50,000 payoff for one Pine Bluff player.
John T. claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center after playing a $1,000,000 VIP Club instant game.
The winning ticket was purchased at Exxon One Stop at 2901 West 28th Street in Pine Bluff.
Lottery officials said John bought the ticket as part of his daily routine. He said he knew he had won but wasn’t sure on the amount until taking a trip to the ASL claim center.
“I felt elated,” John told lottery officials. “I won!”
He has also won other $50,000 prizes. He said he hasn’t decided on how he wants to use his winnings.
Lottery players still have a chance of winning the $1 million top prize on the $1,000,000 VIP Club instant game.
ASL officials said the Mega Millions jackpot now sits at $579 million for Friday night’s drawing. Tickets are $2 per play and drawings are held at 10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays.
